Men who look better with a shaved head
I knew for a while that my hair was getting thinner and I had decided that one day when it got to the point that it looked like I was seriously balding I would shave it off. The day finally arrived and I asked my friend to take the clippers to it. I needed to revamp my whole look. There was going to be some work required to look good bald.
I started dressing better, got myself in better shape and made more of an effort to make bald look good. This article is for those guys that feel like the bald look is not working for them and they need some tips on how to look good bald. Should you shave your head with a razor or use some stubble trimmers? In this case, I think it would look better if you left some stubble to frame your face. If you have a very round face, then when looking at you from certain angles it is hard to tell where your face ends and your head begins.
Leave a little bit of stubble and shave it with some stubble trimmers at least once a week. Whether you opt to go with a razor and shave it down to the bone or go with a stubble look, you need to make sure you are maintaining it. This is one of the most important things to do to look good bald.
If your stubble starts to get long, then you look like an unkempt fuzzball. Make sure you either shave it off or clip it down once a week to keep your head looking fresh. Golden, tanned skin just looks healthier according to numerous studies. If you are not a very tan person, get yourself a slight tan and you will notice a huge difference in how people react and treat you. When you have just recently shaved your head and you are pale, people actually may think that you have come down with a sudden, grave illness. Also, if you have been out in the sun prior to shaving your head you may have some tan lines in a not so good way on your head.
Nothing looks worse than a tanned face and top of your head and pale sides! If you want an instant fix, then try some self tanning cream. The ironic thing about going bald is that the same forces that have reduced your head to wimpy, wispy strands is also responsible for helping you grow a thick, manly beard. You have too much testosterone that leads to production of DHT which kills many hair follicles on your head. That testosterone though flows throughout your body and will help your beard grow.
Put this extra testosterone to good use and grow a beard while you keep to look good bald and add some style to it at the same time. If you are a button down business type, then try a manicured beard with sharp edges and neatly trimmed.
A bald hipster working at a coffee joint can get away with a more experimental style and even try for a handlebar mustache.
The rugged type can let it grow as full and long as you want. Wear some sunglasses to give your face some style and a nice way to frame it.
When your face has thinned out then you are providing a natural frame through your jaw line and muscle structure as it becomes more pronounced. Think about the movie stars who are bald and still are sex symbols. Those guys are all buff as all get out.
And they can look good bald because of it. Time to hit the weights, then my friend. As we have seen, Louis C. Even if you are not overweight, getting toned with weight lifting will show results on your face looking more chiseled and your baldness then becomes a plus in many books. Fashion Tips for Bald Guys Guys, ditch the hoodie.
Throw away your favorites ratty t-shirt from your Frat Boy days. Trash your oversized sweatshirt. Start wearing shirts that actually fit and you will look better bald. Make sure the stitching on your shoulder of the shirt ends where your actual shoulder ends.
This goes for t-shirts or collared shirts. For some reason, this suits bald guys well. It may be the fact that when your head is bald there is a lot of flesh showing and the collar kind of keeps the eyes moving of the people admiring your bald style sense. Keep the collar unbuttoned a bit, assuming you are where you want to be fitness wise.
Well, even if you have a few extra pounds, I think that advice still stands. Match your clothes colors well. Wear the right pants with the right colored shirt and shoes in other words. Also, make sure you dress with the season. Wear classic fall colors in autumn and more pastels in summer, for example. Whether you are a bald hipster, rugged lumberjack type or no-nonsense businessman, pick colors and styles that suit your personality.
As long as you wear properly fitting clothes, keep your colors matched and wear clothes that suit your personality, you will look like you have a style. And that is the most important thing to have style for bald guys.
The days of not caring what you wore or looked like are over when your hair is gone. Keep Your Skin In Shape The last bit of information is to make sure you take care of your skin when you are bald. Bald head skin care is vital to keep your head looking right. Now, it is very important to keep your head covered in SPF. Getting a sunburn is not only uncomfortable, but you will also look ridiculous and unprofessional when your burnt head starts peeling.
Chunks of dead skin falling off your head and onto your shoulder is a disaster. Your skin can also get very dry without hair since your hair is not there to protect your skin from the elements. Make sure you are using a good skin moisturizer. If you already have one for your face or body that you use, and you should really be already using one, then you can just use that one for your head as well. Natural skin creams are best as they contain a lot of essential oils that will hydrate your skin and keep it from going dry.
Look for creams that contain argan oil, jojoba oil, shea butter and especially aloe vera. If you shave your head with a razor, then there is a chance you might end up with razor bumps.
Razor bumps generally occur just above the collar on the back of the head. This can be painful, itchy and unsightly. To prevent them from occurring, try to shave down the back of the head to follow the way the hair grows. I know that is difficult and requires a bit of contortionism to get the right angle. The problem is when you shave against the grain, the root of the follicle gets covered by new skin growth and then keeps growing under the skin. If your pores get clogged, that can also cause ingrown hairs.
The skin gets infected with bacteria just like a pimple with the added bonus of having a hair growing inside of it. Use a razor bump cream to clean out your pores and kill the bacteria inside the ingrown hair. Simply by shaving your head, you are showing the world that you are a guy that takes chances and has a lot of confidence in himself.
If you can complete the look, then people will take you seriously in ways you never expected. Confidence looks hot to women, and men, no matter what. So, shave your head and show the world that you are not afraid to go out on a limb.
But, you need to maintain this. Complete the whole package by following the advice in this guide to looking good bald. When you not only look comfortable in your own skin, but also that you revel in your new look and identity, you will ooze confidence that makes people want to be with you.
Bald head with a beard. This is a look that many bald guys can pull off and is becoming increasingly popular. Adding a beard is a great way to add some flair to your bald style. This will give you strong follicles that look healthy.
Then you need to use some beard oil or balm to condition the beard. These will prevent that dry, brittle hair that is always frizzy. Then you have to brush or comb it or both. Now that your beard is hydrated and healthy you need to be brushing it out. This will give it shape and some semblance of a stye. If you are unsure of what beard style to go for, then take a trip to the barber as it is growing out and ask him for his advice.
It looks much better when it gradually fades down to the skin. So, how does my story about when I shaved my head end, after all?

Since the world of academia and research has solved all the other problems in the world, it took the time to investigate how a shaved head was perceived by the world at large. Albert Mannes of the Wharton School of Business conducted experiments to ascertain how a shaved head came across. In a series of three experiments, he made a few determinations about the way a shaved head on a man came across. In one of the tests done, adults were shown a man with his hair full, his hair thinning, and his head completely shaved. The outcome was that the men who had shaved heads were rated higher for power, authority, strength, and leadership ability based on looks alone. Naturally, men with full heads of hair were seen as more attractive, and perceived as more confident, but scored lower when it came to sheer power.

A full head of hair on a man has long been associated with vitality and virility — think of the Biblical hero Samson, whose strength was in his tresses.
